SNOW WHITE

   Posted by: pastordiehl   in Uncategorized

Remember the story of Snow White? The wicked Queen ordered the hunter to take her deep into the forest and cut her heart out. The hunter had a soft spot in his heart and killed a deer instead, cutting out its heart and taking it back to the queen, saying it was Snow White’s. Snow White was left to die alone in the forest.

But Snow White found her way to a little cabin where she was adopted by the Seven Dwarfs, who cared for her and treated her as one of the family. What a great illustration of God’s Providential care for believers. We were singled out by Satan for death, yet we have been rescued and adopted into the family of God Himself, who takes us under His shepherding wings and treats us as His own. The caregivers He uses to help us, however, are often as strange as those dysfunctional dwarfs.

“He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—” (Ephesians 1:5).

What an illustration! I have been so humbled when I see God at work in my life. Things happen and Satan whispers “‘God does not care or He has no power to change things” But when we cry out to God with faith in His word like “I will never leave you or My love is everlasting “The comfort of he Holy Spirit is right there to comfort and reassure us . I have actually felt this and see His Hand in taking care of my every need! How could we live without Him?

Well here it is another blog for me. I was just like Snow White out lost in the woods of this world. I felt alone but i was not alone. God was there with me even though i did not deserve it. He led me to the home where the caregivers welcomed me with open arms and love. Of course that home is New Hope. I have had a rough few months with the battles with my health but through it all i have learned so much. I know this is God! I started praying for God to do this for me or that for me. Then i learned by talking to a good sister to pray for others and my needs would be met. Well i did just that praying for people everywhere and thanking Him many times a day for all the little and big things i was blessed with. Well my health is better and God is showing me often who to pray for. I have many more caregivers than Snow White had at New Hope. Now i have a request for all who might read this. A young lady who has been diagnosed with cancer of the lungs and a tumor on the brain came to my house to use my shower. See how God works. Her shower not working so had to come to my home. When she talked to me about her cancer i asked if they had done a bone scan. She said no. I saw the cancer in her bones. I prayed with her. Well she was back again today to use my shower. She asked where i went to church. I told her New Hope. She said i should go with you some time but i dont have any nice clothes. I said you dont need any good clothes just wear you jeans. She needs God in her life. Please pray for Deb that God will lead her to the good home of caregivers (New Hope). Doctors say she only has 3 to 6 months to live with out a special new treatment that her insurance will not pay for. But no matter what – She needs God. Hope her shower doesn’t get fixed any time soon. Thank you!
