WHERE’RE WE GOING?

   Posted by: pastordiehl   in Uncategorized

Today I was called out of the office to visit my Dad. It really wasn’t urgent, but he thought it was. On my way back through Butler, there was a fire in a house on Main Street that had US 6 shut down completely. Being raised in Butler, I knew my way around so I turned onto a side street to by-pass the blocked road.

Semi-trailers from both directions were traveling up and down those back streets, trying to find a detour around, but not knowing where they were going. It took a long time waiting for the semis to pass on those narrow back streets.

And I was reminded of how confusing it was before I came to Christ. I was lost in a lost world and didn’t know what turns to take. There were obstacles at every turn and no one to show me the way. Then I came to Christ, and learned that “narrow is the gate, and hard is the way, which leads to life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:14). God, help us to know where we’re going in life.

The boy that works with me and I were just talking about the people that have no hope in life. We were reflecting back when we didn’t know JESUS also. It is scary to look back and think about all we had to run on was luck. Now, that word isn’t even in our vocabulary. Christian says what scares him most is the number of people that claim to be christian and don’t live like it. You mentioned the path is narrow. So many are deceived, thinking they are fine but few will find it. Confusion does come from Satan, and that is not knowing the way, truth and the life. GOD BLESS!!
