The word the popped into my mind was "gracious". I have only know Barb for 10 years, but every time I spoke with her was special. She was thankful for every gesture. Her last years were rough, but her faith was strong. Karl is a pretty special fella, too.

There can be no doubt that Angels carried Barb home. Her last breath on this earth was her first breath in Heaven and the rejoicing in Heaven is still going on!! Barb had the character and integrity of Christ. It showed through even in her suffering and pain. I was given the opportunity to share some valuable time with Barb, Carl and Gloria at the hospital Friday afternoon. We stood and talked of 60 yrs. of marriage, change, love and God. We paused for a minute and the lady in the next bed said; all they have done since they've been here is talk about God. She wasn't critical but stating a fact. Right up to the very end, God was shining in Barb's life. If we carry on her example, we all will surely see her again soon. May we follow her example and serve the Lord in such a Godly fashion. Pastor calls her stately, I call her elegant. God calls her friend and has told her "job well done, good and faithful servant."
