VENTS
Another project I had saved up for vacation last week was to install two air vents in the new storage room we created last spring when we were remodelling after our flood. The much smaller storage room was ‘L’ shaped in a corner, with the door in the center. We had two wings against the outside concrete wall and we knew we would get a musty smell if we didn’t keep it vented. So I bought a couple metal louvred vents and waited for the vacation.
It was more work than I had anticipated. I repainted the vents so they would go with the wall coloring, cut the holes in the drywall, painted the visible studs with flat black paint, then had to cut and attach a couple of small 2×4 sections to the studs since the studs didn’t quite match the width of the screw holes on the vents. Finally the project was finished and I could relax.
Have you ever had to “clear the air” in some corner of your life? Old things that are unresolved get stale and need a breath of fresh air only Christ can provide. Let Him breathe on you today.
