I have used the Bible on a regular basis, but when I get 'busy' I sometimes slip on this priority. I try to find answers myself, and that leaves me empty and needy. When I read again, it's full of answers, support, encouragement and Words I need to hear. It seems no matter how much I read something, there is always something different that comes to light!

I definitely agree. I think we treat the Bible like an owner's manual. We only get it out and read it once all of our best efforts have failed. I know I have done this too many times in my life. I used to view the Bible as "long ago and far away", but since coming to New Hope, I have learned how the lessons in the Bible apply to not only today, but for the future as well. That's what I like best about your teaching, Pastor. You put everything in easy to understand, practical lessons. In a lot of churches, you feel like you are in a Philosophy 101 class, and you can't apply it to your own life. Thank you for your teaching and practical applications.
