[...] What do you think? Could the church learn anything from Apple? If so, what? (And is my dad’s recent blog post related to this at all?) [...]

Finding acceptance and welcoming love has been the most difficult part about moving to Indiana for our family. We were so blessed to be a part of a small close knit church in Michigan, where everybody knew everybody. While I am learning that being part of big church has advantages, it was difficult in the beginning. I just want to encourage people to reach out to those new faces (and even the ones you have seen for a while, but never talked to), to love "a fella like me" who may be feeling far from home and far from accepted or welcome. A church body has such great opportunity in days like these, and we need to learn to make the most of them. Because like Pastor Stine has been teaching on Wednesday evenings, there are so many ways we can "one another" people in our body and those who come seeking. Yes, it may be uncomfortable, but God loves us no matter what we look like, or act like, and He doesn't worry about comfort! What a difference we can make when we become more like Christ!
