Heather was strong willed. And, I too, walked around with the wooden spoon in my back pocket all day. They would tend to disappear, however. Then I'd find them in the toy box, under the sofa, etc.
The good old days...

Yikes, the strong-willed child! We, too, have a "spankin' spoon" and I hate to say it but many times Carson has to have it twice as hard as Anna ever had too. But Anna always cried twice as hard as Carson does! As Anna reached toddler-hood, I thanked God that He gave me a soft-willed child because I KNEW I didn't have the patience to handle a strong one. Since Carson, it's like God's saying, "oh yes you can and I've equipt you with everything you need to raise him!" Praise God that He knows what He's doing :)

Pastor and Anita

Enjoy your time with Josh and Jenny and your grandchildren. I'll get the lights were just beautiful.

I can't say that either of our kids were strong willed. But as a child of the King, I can say that I am:) I like my own way and to be able to do my own thing. God is forever wanking my chain to get me back in line. I'm so glad He does...and I'm so glad I can hear Him when he does. Praise God He loves me even though I can be stubborn. His love never fails.

I am glad you are having a nice time in Tenn.
I love Tenn. I was there when i was 12 and stayed in Celina with Pastor Willie Hunter and his wife. Willie was pastor at the Church of Christ for several years in Waterloo. Willie baptised me when i was 11. Now for children. I have a 2 year old great grand daughter who is very strong willed. She is also very independant for 2. Guess she gets that from her great grandma. She hates the time out chair grandma has at her house. She loves grandmas house though as she gets to help wash dishes and cook with grandma. Never too young to learn. Have a great time and dont over due.

I only wish I could use a wooden spoon to paddle the bottoms of my students (for those of you who don't know. I am the "principal/director/teacher" at a school for juvenile delinquents"). Maybe if their parents had taken a more disciplined approach to discipline and anger, they won't be here with me now!

Dear Pastor & Anita,

We love to walk through the Opryland Hotel. But we have never been there during the Christmas displays. We have also never tried it after surgery. I would recommend more coloring.

I know y'all are having a most enjoyable visit down thar. Try to get some more rest and don't forget the power that ice cream has over every kind of pain.

God's blessings,

Tom & Alice
