Resting

Posted by: anita   in Casting Out Cancer

Pastor is feeling better this morning, but last evening got a bit rough. He was feeling bloated in his abdomen and after walking the catheter bag filled up with air, then he felt much better. (Go figure) He has taken a sponge bath this morning and we even managed to wash his hair in the kitchen sink. He’s ready to watch John Wayne, or the Three Stooges at this point. On second thought maybe he should watch John Wayne as the other will make him laugh and that will hurt! The prescription Ibuprofen he is taking for pain is working well and he hasn’t had to touch the Vicodin, but could if needed.

I am feeling better also, and very grateful for your prayers.

We are going to have a quiet, restful day which seems unusual, but nice. Your comments on this blog are read over and over with delight. Thanks so much for keeping in touch with us. We love you all!

Rest, ah, sublime in the sound. It’s a good thing, Anita, you got Pastor Ralph home because anyone who has been in the hospital knows you cannot rest there with the activity and just when you doze off a nurse comes around to draw blood or something. Make sure when the old man is watching the Three Stooges he doesn’t fall off onto the floor from laughing so much! All our love to you both!

You two enjoy your rest together. Thanks for the updates on all of the great progress. It helps to keep our prayers flowing in the right direction for you both. Pastor, keep chugging along- in no time you will leave that stampede of turtles. It’s great to hear you getting around!!! Enjoy those movies.

Wow, some R&R and movies to boot! Guess you have earned it at this point for sure! Hope the healing continues on a rapid basis. I vote for the Stooges since laughter is good medicine!

I am very happy to read that Pastor is doing so well. I pray the Lord continues to Bless him with his healing power.

Anita, please be sure that you rest when Pastor rest as you too need to keep your strength up.

I would go with the John Wayne films as if Pastor is anything like I was after the same surgery, I think the staggered walk kind of reminds me of the John Wayne swing so Paster watch him walk and then join right in.

God Bless!

Ralph, I’m glad to hear you’re home and doing well. I pray that God renews your strength quickly. The next time I see you, I want to watch your John Wayne impersonation because I already saw your Three Strooges schpiel at the first Empty Nesters’ night out. Nyuk, nyuk.
Love you.

Got interrupted and didn’t get to tell you that we are so blessed by you and all you and Anita do for all of us in the church. We know God has more for you to do and people to bless but right now rest and enjoy your time together. Praying for both of you.
