All is well

This is so cool! Technology allows me to sit at the hospital and write this blog! Pastor just got out of surgery and the doctor said things went very well. The prostate is out along with the lymph nodes and no other sign of cancer. The doctor is optimistic that there will be no long term damage.

Nathan, Emily and Adam have been here and we were also blessed to have Pastor Kutzner and Pastor Ardhuerumly come down to pray with us before surgery. They also helped pass the time as we waited. We had multiple conversations about the TV show House. (This is a show about an obnoxious doctor who is brilliant and diagnoses tough cases.) That got us thinking that the really good doctors often do not have a favorable personality. The doctors who have studied have had their noses in a book and not had practice at social skills. Also some doctors just know they are right! Our doctor has had both and we have been blessed!

We have continued to have a calming peace, knowing so clearly He is taking care of each step. We appreciate so much you keeping up with the blog and really enjoy reading your comments as it’s encouraging to know how much you care. Reading your comments have made us feel closer to each of you and that means so much.

Our answering machine is off at home for a while so we can rest, so keep in touch by calling the church (260.837.3631) or check back here. I plan to update as often as I can for awhile so this information will be most current.

God is so Good! So glad to hear the good report. Today has been the first good day i have had for two months. Even if i did find out both kidneys are infected. I will not give up! You are in my prayers.

God bless you all ,the waiting is not easy but as soon as you can you can touch his hand and face and all will be well again. There is nothing like the touch of the person whom you love so much to bring comfort to your hearts and to his. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME. We are all praying for you all. The feeling of GOD’S hand on your shoulders is AWESOME.

Well, praise the Lord. When I awoke this morning I just ‘knew’ that everything was going to be ok for you.
Mama Rose’s x-rays were completed and she does not have another broken bone. She is just experiencing a flare up of the sciatica. This is a relief because she was really not wanting any more surgery.
Guess we just need to continue caring and praying for one another. See you soon!

Pastor Diehl:

I am so glad to read your surgery went well. Thank God and we will pray for a speedy recovery. I called my dad and informed him and he and Francis send their best as well. I am glad Anita told me to read your blog otherwise I wouldn’t of known about your surgery. My dad went through the same thing so he understands. I am thankful for technology and that I refound your family to stay in touch.

Praise God for a successful surgery. God is good all of the time and all of the time God is good! Anita, thank you for the update. Pastor, please take your time and rest while you heal. Don’t rush things, God is in control of everything.

I was also awakened by God last night to pray for you and continued to pray through the morning. Of course, we knew you’d be okay because God has woven these things into His plan for a special purpose. Take care of yourself now. We’re going to need you to be strong for our family, and also for the church family as He leads us through new and exciting territory. Love you.
