Uncle Ralph,

I learned about the cancer and this blog this evening while dining with my parents, uncles, and brother. I wish you the best of luck with the procedure and a quick recovery.

Having gone through some serious healing back in 1997 when I was a passenger in a very nasty car accident, I can tell you that your personal outlook can play a significant part in your healing. Don't just wait to get better or hope that you get better, fully believe and expect that you WILL get better. There is no IF. While cancer and physical injury are fundamentally two different things, the affect of your personal outlook on your recovery/healing is the same.

I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
